  • SSP 12 Aug

Fished the flood yesterday on 42 mark - which seemed to have got more snaggy since last time I fished it. Must be the summer gear perhaps ?

Chucked the big rod out with rag on a 2 hook clipped rig while commencing operations on the float.

Plenty of small Pollock on the float and one decent fish (see pic). Caught a Dragonet on rag then a good Dab and a small Plaice after a lad in a NESA hoody fishing next to me fixed me up with some Crab which I used to tip off the rag (many thanks again mate).

The rain was a nuisance but nice to be out and to eventually catch an SSP Plaice.

    All fish returned.

There was lobster pots down there a few days ago. Not sure if that's what you've been getting stuck on.
