Well this is my first catch report.
Headed down the pier and got there for about 6. Just went down the bottom just past the slab. Took down my Daiwa bass rod and spinning rod too, put some hokkai's on the bass rod to start with and had a few casts. The wether was an absolute dream, the rain had stopped and there was no wind at all. The sea was so calm and me and my uncle were the only people there! After I'd had a few casts I thought id set up the spinning rod, I cast out to wet the line on the reel and bang straight into a mackerel which give a great fight on the little spinning rod! All night I was chopping and changing every few casts between the 2 rods but had nothing else. Couple of lads further up had 3 or something between them and that's all I seen. The pier watchman came down from locking the gate and I asked if there was much happening at the top and he said he only seen someone with one coley. Stayed there tonight until about 8.45 and packed up walked to the car and then bang it started absolutely peeing it down so I was lucky there ha. Seen a couple of lads coming down and he had a NESA top on so I take it he was one of us lot from here but didn't speak to them or anything. I took a pic of the mackerel and also for a nice pic of the sky so ill try upload them to this thread. Just glad I didn't go all the way down there and blank like I did this morning after getting up at 5.20 on my day off lol.
