Fished Blyth beach last night till three this morning (two hours either side of high tide), loads of fish about. Fished with two rods, had a few knocks, returned three codling about 1lb ¼ and a small flatty. Kept seven codling in total ranging from 1lb 5oz to 2lb 9oz. Eleven fish in total, busiest session ever.

Had a feeling the beach would fish over high water so took a day off work today just so I could fish into the early hours of today, certainly worth taking a day off for. Sea had dropped back perfect, still quite rough but you could hold bottom that’s the main thing, any rougher mind and I doubt if it would have been fishable. A bit of weed left high and dry but did not have any bother at all with this. All fish taken at maximum distance apart from the biggest one at about sixty yards out!!

Thanks to the lads that put the pics on showing the sea state, it’s these that helped me make my decision about where to fish and to take the day off etc, very valuable to us living inland, well done keep up the good work.

All fish taken on rag worm.

I fished in the middle of the beach behind the tiolets, there is a pipe running in, just north of the pipe.

Good spot that. We might have fished there earlier but I bumped someone that said he couldn't hold bottom at all so we fished Stubblies. It dropped off a lot while we were fishing.

The only time I couldn't hold bottom is when I had a fish on, but I didn't mind that!!

Aye lol it was the same at the top end, as soon as you hooked a fish it was away down the beach.
