Alreet! Fished at a mark called Ryhope Hill 60 for this comp, got there an hour before kick off and we wud have been lucky to hit the water at the time as the tide wasnt far enough in! The mark is at the top ov some high cliffs with mixed ground at the base. The winds died off just before the start but it was behind us anyway which was good. 1st chuck got a small rap off a whiting or a coalie which didnt come back. It was pretty quiet until an hour into the comp when me mate got an undersize coalie then had a good codling which was 1lb 4oz, i got a whiting that was just size followed by a codling of around a pound, followed by another 2 whiting that were a bit bigger than the 1st. Pity the match wasnt a bit longer but as we were leaving a few ryhope lads were still fishing so hopefully they got a few too. Ended up finishing 13th owt of 130 so was happy and got a Greys apollo rucksack aswell. Was good to go back to a mark we hadnt fished for about a year and actually catch something!

well done jamie,i didn't do very well, went to whitburn with weefus but all the shots were taken but two lads accommodated my mate on a ledge while i tried to get on trow end but the only shot left was to risky with the muddy slopes. so i went for comfort on the pier, only to catch 1 codling,1 coalie, both returned safely. went back to the weigh-in and keith came sixth with a fish of 4lb 1oz 1drm which he beached because he caught it on his last cast and was making sure he didn't blank. he also won an abu 5500 baitcaster in the raffle, It just goes to show that you have to remain focused in the last stages of a comp. it was a smashing day/ great pub & canny lads
