  • Fish on the float ssp

I managed luckily to survive for 8 hours on the pier without being viciously mown down by cyclists today, Phew, I was on edge all day nervously looking behind me for malicious bikists, it was tricky watching the float.
There were plenty fish to be had again, nothing of any size, but I ended up catching four pollack, two coalies, two wrasse and a scorpion fish. A lovely day to be out weather wise, long may it continue.
Also a big thank you to Joe for all of the good advice and the ragworm. Cheers mate!

Nope. The fish went for rag mostly, some mackerel but nothing on the Isomes. Mine arrived today mate, I only ordered them yesterday afternoon. Now that's quick.

I tried to mow him down on my bike when I seen him but he was up a height, sitting on the wall, the watchman clearly wasn't doing his job properly or he wouldn't of been up there.

Nasty. I had shingles a couple of years ago, runs you right down. Probably worse in this hot weather. Take care mate, hope you're back out fishing soon.

They must be much more common than I thought at the pier. One of them was a corkwing. Must be common if I can catch them!
