  • Blyth Beach, Browns Bay & Slatey Gut

Fished from 1900 tonight at the bottom toilets, Blyth beach. Had a fish a chuck - mostly coalies and tommies using rag/lug cocktails and 2 rods. After an hour got a great knock and managed to land a good (2lb) sea bass - first ever!

Moved on to Browns Bay - no bites but lost no gear for a change. Does this shot ever fish? and if so where's best? I fished the rocks off the bathing pool casting towards the lighthouse - guess work really! Didnt work...

Finished off at Slatey Gut where the sea was flat, had a few bites and landed a nice coaly which was returned safely.

All in all a good nights fishing!
cold, wet, shivering, worth it? .....wey aye!
