Fished Cresswell down to low water on Friday night, conditions seemed perfect, good sea on but getting sheltered by the carrs, fished for about 3 hours until the tide turned, absolutely nothing.
Went out on Saturday dinnertime and fished Lyneburn up to high water, again conditions seemed perfect, sea well and truly stirred up and waves breaking up to five feet tall, managed a small codling and a small coley, together they wouldn't have weighed a pound, luckily only lip hooked so able to put straight back. Couple of others fishing on the beach but never saw any other fish caught.
The conditions were ideal for both sessions but the fish just weren't there, defies belief at times.
