Was intending to fish Whitley pipe at low water today but was too busy to make it in time.
Decided to have a run up to Craster and fish the tide up instead. Got there at half five and was getting good bites straight away. Third chuck I got what turned out to be my best fish of the night a Red Codling a bit over two pounds. Carried on getting bites every chuck and caught a couple more red ones about a pound and a half.
Was sitting there quite smugly all night with no Rockling at all and planning to gloat at Fishfinder (the Rockling King) untill my last cast. Yes you've got it a Rockling lol. Better than the ones you caught last week Paul lol.
Starting to get the taste for it again now. Might just be out tomorrow or Saturday night too.
