  • Pollack 4-2 wrasse

Same spot on the pier again for high tide. A couple of the fish were a better stamp today with a pollack around the 2lb mark and one of the wrasse getting on for a pound. I had to handball the pollack as my little reel was struggling to get it up the side, I thought I'd got a photo of it but it must have jumped just as I took the pic. You can see it's a decent size by the size of the float next to it's head, a fella offered to take a photo of me with the fish, should have took him up on it.
Another canny session, sorry Chris they started biting just after you left. When I caught the larger wrasse a bloke on his bike screeched to a halt to look at it, he looked happier than me to see it!

Well done mate , you'll have a groove in the pier where you sit :-) lol
    I am a fisherman !
It is not merely something that I do
It is who I am !
Fishing is not simply my escape.
It is where I am supposed to be.
It is not a place that I go
But a lifelong journey that I am taking
It is a passage that was shown to me and that I will continue to show others.
When you understand all of this you will then know me .
    And we will fish together

Strangely enough I caught the better pollack after the Port of Tyne lad asked me not to sit on the wall so I moved further along. This meant I couldn't see the fish until I got it to the top of the wall.
