Sorry it has taken me awhile 2 report this catch.anyway Myself and couple of my m8s decided 2 get out the house on sat afternoon and go 4 a chuck.we headed up north with our minds on craster on the way there we stopped 2 have a quick look at cullernose but there was alredy a few people on the point so we stuck with the idea of going 2 crater. the sea was flat and water clear.
My m8 had the first fish an undersized codling on his first cast, the fishing then went abit slow with just the odd nock now ang again but nothing came of them but then......as i was baiting up my spare trace with my back turned 2 my rod my m8 shouted to let me know that i had a bite as i turned around to look i noticed my rod was nearly being pulled out of the stand i stud up and struck, after a hetic struggle i finally landed the fish a nice red cod weighing in at 6lb 4oz... not bad eh?after that the fishing then went slow again with my m8 managing another codling this time sizeable but returned to the water alive and myself managing another 2 coleys.
The next day when it was time to clean and fillet the cod it had a whole lobster about 6inches with a further 2crabs inside of its stomach.
It was nice to get out the house and even catch a fish or two.
