  • More wrasse from the pier

Went to the pier again today for high water to my little wrasse hot spot to find Chris sitting there again. First fish on the float was a flounder to my surprise. then a bit later I pulled in two wrasse and Chris had one within a couple of minutes then it went quiet again. After Chris left I got one more wrasse, it was smaller than the others but was a stunning copper colour. I should have took some pictures but these fish don't seem to be very hardy so I got them back in as quick as possible.
They really are delightful fish to catch. I have had eight in the last few days and not one has been the same colour, they have ranged from dark purple to green, really beautifully marked fish.
