Just got in from the Tynemouth retired members match. Got kicked off the pier at 12 .30pm because one of the pier gatekeepers was on the sick! Guess what , the codling were just starting to show on the turn of the tide. I managed 3 , 4 - 6oz, 2 - 6oz and 1 - 12oz plus 1 whiting for 1 - 0 oz. Undersized codling taken by most anglers plus flounders dabs and whiting. Perfect sea, nice northerly roll. Fish taken on crab and mussel but all fish coughing up sprats.
