fished the roundhead upto high water, pretty dissapointing result considering the ideal conditions.
got a 5lb cod first cast on rag then nothing of note just a few whitings, might try roker beach over low water tonight, have some bait left to use plus 6 live peelers my mates just gave me, not popping in fact like bell metal but hey a peelers a peeler this time of year, they worked ok for him today he ended up with 3 decent cod on them.

should have been a lot more caught the conditions were absolutely perfect. a big sea running several days then dying slightly but with still a good roll on. anglers out numbered the cod about eight to one.

I fished the end of the Old North last night. It was perfect, big sea rolling in between the piers. Fished with rag/crab and mussel cocktails for 5 hours. Result - 1 undersize codling and a rollicking bite that never came back.
I done a fantastic impression of a snowman for an hour though

i all so fished the pier got a cod about 2lb & small ling also missed a good bite.allso new 2 the site hello all.
