I had a couple of hours checking one or two marks along the North Yorkshire coast, just to see if any fish were about.
Nowhere looked very fishy, all alone the coast the sea was like a millpond.
Armed with a bucket of crab and a couple of dozen fresh blacks I was determined to get into a fish...
Should of Known better really ,,but was desperate to at least try.
After 4 hours fishing I ended up with 9 billet and 3 codling, biggest was approx 2.5lb. All fish returned to fight again,,our lass will go mad ,,no fish supper again

Still sounds like a decent session mate. Wait fore the longrange weather forecast to come true and you might need a wheel barrow to get the fish home!

Just oiled the wheels on me barrow Mike lol, Sorry to hear that there was no fish at Saltburn pigeonian but I have not made my mind up on them pier lights yet, Was the pier lit up after midnight do you know?
Cheers for the welcome boys,,I've been checking in from time to time but having been doing most of my fishing in North Wales I was'nt sure you lads would bother reading reports about other areas .
Lets hope some of them bigger fish u lucky lads further up North are getting into at the mo!!, start to move South

I reckon if the weather is right and the sea spot on Saltburn will be back to its best
Here a snap from the pier end looking back to the cliff....
I came passed the pier at 01.00 this morn after a pretty rubbish session at Cowbar and the lights were out,,
So there is hope that that the fishing will be ok after midnight...

Came home early due to the sea having a rather angry heed on, tried Cowbar with little success 2 tiny codling, so had a mooch to boiler and there was just too much swell on, so packed up and went home to a nice warm bed for a change..
