Started off at the Sluice end of Blyth beach with John. Got a few small knocks but nowt decent. John got a Coley about 1 lb but nothing else.
Made our way south heading for Tynemouth beach but decided to try Whitley Bay at the boat house. Two other lads allready fishing there said they had caught quite a few flatties but they decided to sod off either just before or just as we got there lol.
Tried fresh crab, frozen crab, Lug Rag, Mussel and Razorfish. Caught a stately home, sod all lol.
Never mind we had some good crack and it didn't rain. Might have to try again tonight.

    Jim.

Aye the fish were very scarce, but still enjoyed the good craik and new marks. Better nights to come.

Talking to some lads this morning Mark X fished well with one lad having 7 cod to 6lbs and another with 3 cod also to 6lbs on runny down.

One of my favourite marks - The Boat House. I take it that weed was not a problem - just lack of fish!

never mind jim ,it happens to us all m8 ,sometimes its good to fish a few places and get the feel of them and strange how certain tides produce fish when others dont and yet conditions look perfect

Hard lines Jim and John ,still better than having plaster dust in places you didn't know you had places ,God I can't wait to get out fishing instead of living in a house that resembles a cave lol !

it is the boat station and you park where the mini golf course is,before you turn in to go to st marys.it is best fished on a mod to heavy sea either side of high water, with crab or worm like the lads say it can be terrible for weed but in the past some good fish have come from there. if you get nothing there try the new prom to the right, which is best fished on a heavy northerly on the drop

Fished marx with John tonight for the first time and caught another stately home lol. John managed a couple of Coley's and another lad caught a red Codling about a pound and a half and also a Pouting. Never seen one of them from the shore for a lot of years.
Enjoyed the night John loads of good crack mate. Catch you when you get back.
Going to have a rest from fishing for a while now, fancy a go at doing some plastering or something similar might just build up a nice thirst.

Sits back and waits for bite lol.

    Jim.
