Fished lynemouth again tonight with a mate of mine went straight down onto the beach and headed up close to the beacons ...first cast loads of weed so we moved up towards lyneburn just past the rock ...three codling for me 4lb 2.5lb 1lb and my mate got one for 2.5lb all taken on crab .

The way the sea was and the big tides it had to fish at some point but they were only going for the crab nowt else..was with one of jims mates arthur ..often fishes the pier..he tried everything but crab and had nowt ...seen a group of lads as I left who'd been having a comp amongst them selves with a similar story no bites or nothing apart from one lad who caught a t bag sized flattie and won the comp 50quid lol...

How far are you casting, I catch **** all on that beach, but i often hear of good bags of fish.

not casting very far scott last night was using a 7500 with 30lb main line so maybe bout a hundred yrds or so and it only seems to fish for me on the flood ...had some good bags of fish off there last year especially sept and you only need a little bit of sea to be runnin
