Took my mam down shields pier again today for about 3hrs of fishing.
I ended up with 5 mackerel, 20ish sandeel, 1 pollack and 1 colie.
My mam got 18 colie, 1 sandeel and 1 bright blue wrasse...AGAIN lol

Has you Mam been fishing long Richy.Never had a Wrasse off the pier before got a few a couple of years ago off Cambois rocks on the float good fighters asa well

Yes
she was the one that got me started on fishing and i have been doing it ever since. We used to fish Seahouses when i was just 4years old.

Nice to see you & ya mam down there, Richy.
We left at about 8:00............1 Flounder between the pair of us.....lol (oh......and I caught it.....lol).
Bait fishing wasn't doing very well at all today......like you with the Winter fishing - I'll think I'll pack in the Summer shore fishing (well - with bait anyway - during daylight). It felt very strange fishing during the day........lol.
Fingers crossed for Monday when I'll be hitting the kelp beds.
Weather looks naff, like.

Good on ya Richie,used to take mine but alas shes too old now nearly 80.

Yer she has done well the last couple of trips in hard conditons, if the weather holds out we will be there on monday.
