  • Wicked session

Went fishin last night at a secret mark float fishing with Shaun. Armed with ragworm and mackerel it was a bite a chuck, i think they were codling but not shre because they were a weird red colour and ended up with a few fish obviously Shaun caught the majority because he was using lights next to the hooklengths so the fish could see his bait and I didn't have any.

Well done , canny sesh mate ..
    I am a fisherman !
It is not merely something that I do
It is who I am !
Fishing is not simply my escape.
It is where I am supposed to be.
It is not a place that I go
But a lifelong journey that I am taking
It is a passage that was shown to me and that I will continue to show others.
When you understand all of this you will then know me .
    And we will fish together

Red codling, though I must say they look woefully undersized (if you kept them that is). Perhaps that's just giant seaweed?

Legal size is 35cm for cod. Helps having sizes marked on something. You could get fined taking undersized fish although its highly unlikely. Most lads use a box sticker with measurements on like a ruler. Canny sesh though and well done for getting them on the float. Stay safe on them rocks, you could easy break a bone if you slip
