    As a footnote to Paul Buddles landing 22 codling from Seaton Point....

    Apparently he also caught a 400lb Mako shark on spinning gear on the same night. Lol!

      Lmao Rory, I was talking in the pub tonight and was informed by a certain person that a Ling of about 15 lb was taken from Blyth pier just 5 years ago. The pictures have been promised for next week.

      I would however issue this word of warning. DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH lol.

      I argued with the guy for ages telling him it was a right load of. He says not. We won't see the pictures though. My bet is that they were mysteriously lost.

      Why do some people insist on telling these sad stories lol.
