Fished the Astley tonight ,3 whiting between us not good at all, a few others on the beach as well .
Bait used, are you ready for this
......rag,lug,runnydown,squid,razorfish,frozen peeler,mackerel and my mate even tried some fresh salmon trimmings hey you'll try out when you're desperate, anyway I suppose one cod caught in a week isn't bad for me lol.

Steve, I bought fresh salmon trimmings from Morrisons last year and minced them with mussel to stuff my squid. They worked great and cost next to nowt.
