posted on 21/11/2004 at 06:53Thur night (low water) 7 anglers fishing old crumbly which can only hold 3 anglers comfortably so it was a bit hectic (met Mazzaxix down there, nice geeza), lots of mops comming in along with one or two nicer fish, Paul Lobley (match angler) had a 8lber and another around 6lb within ten mins of me arriving plus a hand full up to 4lb.
Everyone was catching fish (codling) no matter what bait they were using but crab was far the best.
only stayed an hour (too many rods out) and seen at least 10 decent cod come in, moved on to Runswick Bay for the last of the ebb.
Not a lot Happening at Runswick thurs or friday, I had nowt but a lad fishing further round had a couple of little un's to 3lb.
Sat night I was ordered to stay in and keep her indoors company (gutted).
Heard on the grapevine that the fishing around here was not that great, Saltburn Pier was weeded off with one or two fish getting caught to 4lb but the opinion out there is that it would of been a lot more if it wasnt for the weed.
Whitby Piers are very quite still, only mops and whiting getting caught there (shame I was going to give Whitby a bash tonight).
Weather has dropped off now so it's going to be quite again till we get the next blow.
I'll keep you informed if owt happens!
