  • Lower tyne

    Fished the lower Tyne area this evening. Used single hook rigs with long snoods and crab baits. Had a fish every cast, 9 undersize codling with the biggest 32cm. Some canny sport and it turned out a nice night when the wind dropped. All in all, two hours well spent.

      Aye left them for you. The pier was empty, a few on spinning but only seen one fish on the spinner and it was lost on the surface.

        same as you today all small stuff,the lad next to me had 8 Pollock down the side on float best 1lb and a half,bob blackhall had one 4 to 5lb in the free zone. davy.

                  the free zone is the area between the small railing to the middle railing the rough ground marks,set of pots all along the foundations marked with a big white ball right opposite were you like to cast of the back wall,also a set marked with an orange ball about ten yards from the white one going all around the round end to the end of the railings on the lower deck. davy.
