posted on 3/10/2004 at 21:20Went to fish the beach next to Trow rocks about 1hr after high and stumbled accross Simon and his two mates.
Caught 2 coalies close in on a flapper (about 1lb and 1lb 1/2 lb each) and a small whitey. One of the lads had a 1lb 7oz flounder.
Moved to the walkway about 3hrs before low water. Had 1 codling of 2lb - returned - (frozen crab), lost a bigger one on a snag as the water emptied and a great big mollusc (no shell), the size of your fist, looking like a pork knuckle - white with red veins - presume a sea cucumber?
Woke up today and puked everywhere, the wife blaming fishing and giving me a hard time. Thats until Huey and Rolf paid a visit to her and one of the bairns..bless them.
