posted on 27/9/2004 at 19:50Six of us from the works club had a social comp on the Blast beach yesterday 10am to 2pm. It had been 20 years since I last fished it and although the conditions looked good I was not very hopeful, how wrong could I be.
Everone had fish and 7 different species were caught. We decided the comp on the longest single fish and I won with a 41cm codling, other fish included, coalfish 38cm, whiting 37cm, bass 33cm, flounder 33cm, dab 30 cm and a rockling.
It just shows that once a beach gets clean up different species move in
