posted on 11/9/2004 at 03:56Had a drive down to Shields for the first sesh of the season with me mate Dave. Bumped T.C. and Ian in the car park and had a few cracking hours together at the end of the rail. Was surprised at how much the sea had come away on the big beach. We all caught a few whiting but nothing else. Tony and Ian went to fish the river for a couple of hours as we left so maybe they had some luck there ???
A few weeks ago we talked about things you always carry in your tackle box and I said two headlights as it is not easy to fish on Shields pier without one. One of mine is not working and I think my other one is in the house, well it wasn"t on the pier with me tonight lol.
Mark I am eating humble pie of the humblest variety it was my turn tonight mate lmao. Fished for twenty odd years and first time with no light. When I get my new one I hope it comes with a zip for me gob. Tony thought it was great after my other post by the way.
