posted on 27/6/2004 at 23:44Fished 11am - 6.30pm and a steady bit of sport through the day. Plenty Pollack although lots undersize and the biggest between four of us went 2lb 7oz. Most were just around the size mark (unfortunately many just under).
A few wrasse were caught again many just small but best around 2lb 8oz.
A couple of the lads cleaned up with doggies which I didn't take gear for. As many of them as you wanted and mostly identical twins!
Got my Pollack on sandeel or mackerel strip but others used ragworm. I found worm got the smaller ones and tended to take the float down but just nip off the tail.
Conditions not ideal and a bit of colour to the water, presume the better fish are off into clearer water.
