posted on 23/2/2004 at 08:33Fished Blyth beach to the north side of the pipes at the port entrance from 22:00 til 00:30, result was 2 nice cod both around the 4lb mark. Both taken on lug/razor cocktails. Both on the bottom water mark.
If you are fishing this area be careful as the sea has uncovered the tails of the old pipe supports at the low water mark - previously covered with sand. The first fish took cover in there buy wrapping itself around one of the old piles.
