  • Seaton sluice then blyth

went to seaton sluice yesterday because heard the gulley behind the pub is an areet shot for the chance of pollack, got there to see this

spent 5 minutes of nearly getting wiped off the rocks, stuff that...
went to Blyth pier to find only 2 people, nice! but freezing and windy as out.
set up on the end with my tiny spinning rod and braid, tiny hook and tiny strips of makky, once the tide started to turn i had a little coalie then for about 2 hours was fish fish fish (for me anyway ) ended up with 16 in the end!
i had dabs, a plaice (my first, kanny fight off them my little rod was bent double!), coalies and a pollack. steve even had a tiny little red codling. scotty had 2 coalies i think and steve had a few dabs coalie and the codling.

    few pics:

two fishery officers came along later on as well to check people weren't taking undersized fish. we had a chat with them like kanny. would be my dream job!
all fish went back alive and well, apart from one of scottys which went belly up and probably fed the seal that was knocking about!
