First chuck became some what dramatic. slight tap whilst setting up the next baited hook turned into a real rod puller then rod & stand disappeared into the water with the rod being pulled into the water. After grabbing the gear from the water - no point in striking!! reeled in to find the 3/O Aberdean straightened fully. So Jim was right there is a large beast prowling the beach next to the pipes up from Stubleys. After 3 hours ended up with 1 rockling and a hole in the ego the size of a bin lid. There's always tommorrow - if the bait holds up.
