  • port carlisle and silloth 1/6/13

decided on another flatty bashing trip over the solway. set off at 2am to arrive at port carlisle first light and fish 2 hours up 2 hours down. the flounders didnt come out to play though, fished the bend i the road only got 3 out.
not to be put of i headed to silloth to fish tommy legs over low water where i did so well the previous week with dabs and flounders. fish from the off here but unlike last week nearly all flounders with just one solitary dab and tiny codling. loads of double shots, hard to keep up fishing 2 rods.
some really good specimens today best around 1lb 12oz. must have had around the 50 mark out. heres a few pics.

then decided to have a couple of hours to the left of the island at port carlisle over high water before heading back, not many fish again just 3 but did get a walloper out just over 46cm, heres the pics

worth the trip just for that one.
nearly all fish taken on crab with a couple on macky
