  • Ssp today

Fished the 44 for a few hours this afternoon, plenty flatties to be had. Plaice, dabs and one flounder caught with rag and mackerel. Weather turned out good after a dull damp start, hoping it's good tomorrow.

The spots on this one were brilliant but it doesn't quite show in the photo.

You'll get one tomorrow mate. You'd have a better chance at Shields pier but Roker it is.

I had two today, I actually think it was the same fish twice! same dark spots on the underside, should have got a photo of the underside of both of them.
Get yourself out there, the 40s have been productive for me lately.

Worm baits? Will need to pop into moonfleet over the next few days and pick some up. Hopefully fish the flood at the 40's then try a bit spinning over high water further up...

It wouldn't surprise me catching the same fish twice, I remember my brother catching a codling twice at the walkway a couple of years back, it still had the same hook and snood left in its mouth that he had cut out a few casts earlier! lol

We need some sort of NESA secret handshake to recognise each other. It will be better when the box stickers arrive this week.
