  • Hebburn marina 31-5-13

Fished Hebburn marina last night 8pm till 11.30pm. Fished 2 rods, one close in with blacks and bluey and one at distance with rag and bluey. Loads of little bites all night close in resulting in 2 small flatties and only 1 decent bite at distance resulting in the biggest flattie of the night around 33cm. Not a bad few hours until the tide started pulling loads of rubbish down the river catching my line every 5 mins so decided to call it a day.

There's loads of rubbish in the river at the minute. Even worse in the dark when you don't see it coming. Well done on getting out and catching.

          .

Aye Russel it was that rod I got off you. Just used it with fixed spool close in, no more than 30-40 yards. Bite detection was good and felt nice to cast and fish with. There was hardly any wind so couldn't see how it handled that but im sure it will be sound. Cheers mate
