Took family out for a run down to the coast and ended up eating fish and chips in the carpark at St Marys. Wind was really blowing hard off the land and the sea was very flat close in but the further you looked out towards the horizon the sea progressively became whiter. Was quite sheltered down on the rocks and even warm. Very few boats to be seen though, looked to be too choppy to be comfortable to my untrained eyes. I hope the wind drops for those trying to get out fishing tomorrow as it was a nice afternoon otherwise.

This one was taken from the rocks on shore to south of the lighthouse, looking out towards the yellow buoy ( the can ? ) it should be in centre of pic but my camera phone is not high enough resolution

Top pic a beauty jonny. yes you could try spinning for pollack at the northern end of the island (crisps gully), just make sure there are no divers down there, as it's a popular dive site.
