its a samsung digimax s700 7.2 megapixels, its not one of those things that you put extra lenses on etc, its just a standard digital camera, but it takes a cracking picture.

This is my first season fishing and I have a few questions about fishing when the sea is up like above.

In the first picture there is white water and froth quite a way out. Is there any point fishing this area or should you be casting out over that and into the slightly cleaner water? If so what distance would you say that is, looks too far for me to be honest.

The next picture looks more reasonable if it would work casting into the lower area before the larger wave in the background, again would this be likely to produce?

Finally in the last picturwe there seems to be some stiller water in the middle of the photo in line with the lighthouse. I have read about trying to read the waves, is this the sort of area you are looking for that may indicate a little more depth and the possibilty of a hole?

                Cheers

With the tide in and the sea that big you should head for the North End of the beach...Boat Station, St Marys Prom...

Most of Whitley is better at low water (2 hours either side of low water)...big casts are not essential at low water (50-60 yards at a max)...not too sure about casting distances at the North End but if you're off the prom it prob wouldn't be neccessary to cast too far

I plan on fishing Whitley quite a lot this year so if you fancy a trip out let me know

Thanks mate. May well do. As it's my first season fishing me and my mate fancied concentrating on one area to work out how it fishes and we had picked whitley to try first so hopefully be down quite a bit.

May be out later this week so will PM you if we are. Well done on your 6lber by the way.
