Double Albright is the way to go

The best ive used is tie a knot with your mono, but put the tag end through twice. As you tighten keep your eye on it before it closes it makes a figure of eight.

Take your braid in one side of the figure of eight and out the other. Then wrap it round the mono between 12 to 16 times making sure u keep a loop to pass the tag end through.

Pass the tag through the loop then tighten gently, making sure everything's neat as you go. Pull both the braid and the mono at the end. Trim the ends.

I ended up losing pieces of my shocky till it snapped down to about eight inches, but the knot never budged.
