  • South Shields & District SAC 70th Annual Open Shore Competition, 25th November 2018

    MAIN RESULTS

    Hi all.

    A total of 185 anglers, 180 seniors and 5 juniors, fished our 70th Annual Open Shore competition today from 10:30am till 3:30pm, in challenging conditions, with a building sea and strengthening wind from the East, as well as ever changing weather.

    The main winners of this years open competition are as follows:


    The winner of this years 70th Open Shore Competition, with a Cod of 5lb 12oz 8drms, goes to Peter Ramsdale, winning him £600 and the Alderman Barbour Trophy.


    This years Heaviest Bag Winner, with a bag weight of 11lb 9oz 2drms, goes to Neil Turner, winning him £400.


    This years Junior winner, who also is our Lady Champion prize winner this year, with a weight of 2lb 1oz 5drms, goes to Lacey Gray, winning her the Junior and the Lady Champion Trophy, Junior Rod & Reel Prize and £50.


    This years Heaviest Flatfish winner, with a flounder of 1lb 6oz 6drms, goes to Andy Brotherton , winning him £50.


    OPTIONAL SWEEPS (Payout for 1st, 2nd and 3rd):

    Heaviest Fish:

    1st - Peter Ramsdale, 5lb 12oz 8drms, Cod

    2nd - Michael Rich, 4lb 14oz 4drms, Cod

    3rd - Steve Ragstraw, 4lb 3oz 7drms, Cod

    Big welldone peter.

    ASWELL as all who fished,in them challengin conditions.
    as usual {I BLANKED},fished around rock edges at Marsden.
