  • Seaham SAC William Holman 23/09/18

Today we had 69 Anglers out including 5ladies and one junior fishing for the William Holman between 12-5pm with HW at 3:40pm.
Conditions looked good with a nice lazy roll on the water which had plenty colour.
The pier soon became awash so most Anglers choosing the rock edges, cliffs or the Spiles area.
Treasurer Brian Dobson chose The Spiles gate and had two lovely fish out giving him clean sweep with a nice cod of 6.74lb and another of 3.3lb for a total bag of 10.04lb. It has to be said that he also lost two fish of similar stamp.
Danny Swan had a lovely 4lb Kelly Cod from The Blocks that looked like a Goldfish at the weigh in.
Nice to see a female on the prize table with Marie Sardag getting three cod for 3.22lb

Only 12 Anglers weighed in 18 fish for a total 38.45lb so disappointing overall looking at the favourable conditions.

Thanks for results Ian mate I was with Bryan and he fancied the cliffs at ryhope but I managed to persuade him to fish the spiles cracking fish I lifted it for him I thought he was going to have a heart attack when he managed to get it to the wall lol
Most of the cod weighed in were resident fish with a tint of red about them we need a couple of big sea's now to shift that horrible green moss off the ground
    So well done Bryan mate
