    SBRAAC - winter league 06/09/12

    12 members fished the first match of the new season last night, a high-water comp, with 7 weighing in as follows:

    1st Mick Roper 4lb 1oz 6 flounders, Blyth beach
    2nd John Adamson 3lb 2oz 5 flounders, Blyth Beach
    3rd Greg Norris 1lb 11oz 1 coalie 1 flounder, Blyth beach
    4th Steve Alexander 1lb 3.8 oz 1 codling, Rocky Island
    5th Steve Haliburton 1lb 0.4 oz 1 flounder, Blyth beach
    6th Paul Roper 0lb 6.5oz 1 flounder, Blyth beach
    7th Phil Smithson 0lb 5.1oz dab, Fish quay

    The windy conditions spoiled the night somewhat, but those who headed to Blyth beach were rewarded with some nice flounders. Congrats to Steve Alexander for the only codling of the night (although those of us at the fish quay did get a few undersize)
