Don't know if it was the same lad Davy - I've just spoken to Chris Hossack & he speared his hand on the bottom of his tripod when it lifted up (he thought he was getting a bite). He had to pack in & went back home then into Sunderland General where they've cleaned the wound under local anaesthetic & stitched it up & apparently he's going to be off work for 10 days - narrowly missed the artery they said! Yes, some proper torrential downpours on the way home!!
