Whitley Bay club match - 07/02

8 members fished tonight & it was pretty grim: I was the only one to weigh-in, a solitary codling of 2lb 6oz, taken from Whitley pipe, so it was winner-takes-all.

On an otherwise uneventful night where even the scotchie bites were few & far between it was nice to have a bit of company with a few of the Bedlington lads fishing their last comp of the season & I'd like to say thanks again to Alan & Steve for the leftover yellowtails; I'll have to try & catch something better later in the week!

saw a few of you's on the pipe. we were to your right under the stairs, 4 of us there and a lad fishing the comp. One codling about the same stamp between us all night.

well done on the codling gary m8, steve & alan said they were talking 2 u on the pipe,
i was on blyth & rod was thumping all night but only hooked 7 whitties & 5 flounders but only 1 monster whittie & a canny flounder were size, the rest were all just under. all whitties weighed in & 2 flounders.
