  • Northumbria Police SAC - Blyth 5th Dec 2010

13 Anglers fished with 10 managing to score. Points match awarded for species and size. Fished in temperatures down to -7C from marks on the Tyne and Blyth Pier. The beaches were tried by a few but the tide and weed made it hard to fish.

    1. D.Nevin 240pts. 13 fish
    2. J.Brookes 172pts. 8 fish (including a haddock)
    3. C.Bath 159pts. 6 fish (including H/F 41cm codling)
    4. S.Foster 76pts. 5 fish
    5. M.Thompson 69pts. 9 fish
    6. F.Douglas 57pts. 9 fish
    7. M.Todd 36pts. 2 fish
    8. D.Kernaghan 12pts. 2 fish
    9. S.Walker 12pts. 1 fish
    10. P.Morgan 7pts. 1 fish

One of our guests from Durham unfortunately failed to trouble the scorer but I will not publish the name to save his pride. You know who you are
A bad days fishing is better than a good day at work.

Was looking for that one cod to clear the decks. Rolled blacks. Crab and whites. Not a touch. Prob would have had more Luck at the toilet block where I innocently left my car!!!
