    Brave and hardy souls, not just the rain but watching that lightning in Sunderland don't think I'd have fancied standing on an exposed pier or beach with a 13' 6" carbon lightning conductor in my hands .

    Good to see numbers of Whiting weighed in, hopefully a good sign. And well done again Dean, 2 1/2lb is a stonking woofer

      Well done Mr Pye, not only did I have to contend with lightning, tropical rainfall, giant Rats and a rock surface like walking on volcanic rock on The ledge, but I had to watch him chucking baits out into the horizon !!! My excuse was that I had to give him an hours head start before I got there from work !!
      Never fished in conditions like it, at one point a lightning strike must have only been yards away as I was blinded for a few seconds....never again till the next time

          Lightening and carbon rods do not mix well-or should I say they do.
