Last night, we had our 3rd summer match of 2024. Low water was at 22:07 in Hartlepool, and it was a 1.23m tide. Conditions couldn't have been any nicer ....20 plus degrees, hardly a breath of wind and clear skies. There was a bit of south easterly surf breaking but for all intents and purposes, flat calm and crystal clear.
8 members turned up to fish, and once again all bar 2 headed north in search of a few cod. Fishing wasn't great overall, plenty of bites but little to show from them . Seen a few dolphins and even a couple of salmon. The scenery really helps when your on for a blank.
Only 3 members weighed in, and here are the results:-
1st Ash Bartollo, 1420g (3lb 2oz), 1 cod
2nd Lee Davies, 1420g ( 3lb 1˝oz), 2 cod
3rd Ryan Readman 520g, 1 cod
Heaviest fish , Ash Bartollo, 1420g cod
N.B. we weigh in grams to keep records easier. The scales don't weigh in single grams , but in increments so in cases where there's a tie , we switch to pounds and ounces ( which on these scales rounds up or down to the nearest half ounce ) to decide the winner.
Well done to those who weighed in, and thanks to everyone who turned up. Thanks to north east tackle and zulcron sports for supporting the club. Tight lines everyone
