I wish it was open safely of an evening - helluva shot

Charlie we are to old to climb gates!! It was a Tynemouth match and the gate is opened by the pier warden so we can push our trollies along the pier.
It was the best match we have had for a number of years with fish everywhere. Apart from the sized fish that were weighed in, there were loads just under which were returned. In fact many of the sized fish were returned as well.
The coalies taken were monsters with a number of over 2lbs taken. I had two on one cast around the 2.5lb mark. Some of the whiting weighed around 1.5lb.
My catch was probably a reward for rescuing little Auks which landed on the pier exhausted!

Some excellent bags there, and a cracking winning weight.

Just hope you've left some to swim their way north for sunday night !
