Lots of undersize too Bill - I might have had a couple more but my bait bucket washed over at 10 o'clock & I lost all my worms!

Probably too big the other side Davy; Chris said it was massive on the bathing pool, although flat in West Bay where he started…wished he'd gone straight there! I'm just glad that wind, that was horrendous around tea-time, had dropped right off and it was quite a pleasant night!

Funny thing was, my gear was up near the HW line and it happened right on LW….shows just how flat the beach is at the moment as it was surging up all the time & I was constantly looking back to keep an eye on it. It was so far away I was hardly able to tell for sure & when I went back to check (letting line off my reel as I went) I had over 300 yards of line off! I wouldn't care, but just as I was tending to my box & bucket, having put the rod in the stand, that got pulled over and dragged through the sand so the reel was a tad rough for the rest of match!
