Competion was held from 1800hrs until 2200hrs fishing the dropping tide on the Hall Beach at Seaham Harbour.
7 Anglers turned out on a clear nite, with little wind and the water had a good colour about it,and was pushing in rather large rollers onto the beach.
The winner on the nite,Ian Ainsley chose to fish below the old Vane Tempest Pit site with a variety of bait after 4 days of digging the big tides. The action was slow at first for all anglers with no fish reported for the first 2hrs.
First fish landed was a 36cm codling quickly followed by a 35cm coley, both to Ainsley with no other fish to report.Things went quiet again until 20mins from the end with Veteran Billy Huscroft fishing the North Promenade taking a nice 34cm Whitey.Overall a quiet nite for all anglers but its better than watchin the STREET.
1st Ian Ainsley 2 fish for 1lb 15oz 9pts.
2nd Billy Huscroft 1 fish for 10oz 7pts
