    There are definately Conger around South Shields pier. The NESA comp was won two years ago by a small one of about 4 1/2 lb.

    The reason we don't get that many from this coast is, we don't target them.

      With regard to the Cullercoats bit there used to be a few caught off the South Crab Hill, casting towards St Marys. Remember seeing one caught about 6lb in the Tynemouth Open.
