Whilst owt digging at Whitburn today i noticed a very rare sight.....A FISHERIES OFFICER!!! I thought these people were just made up but they do actually exist! I thought i was seeing things until he spoke. All joking aside its the first time ive ever seen one, i know our coastline is massive but how often do people get away with taking undersize shellfish (and fish come to that) due to the lack of enforcement of sizelimits. I think that if more were owt and about instead of being stuck behind desks then the fish stocks might just be a bit healthier! Well thats my little rant over with, until next time!!!
