I know I haven't got my name down yet but I wouldn't let that stop you from entering.

You thinking of entering like Ian mate, I hope so.

I think you would have a pretty good idea who Jonny was talking about Ian, well, judging by recent PMs and Emails that I have recieved and the crack that passed between Jonny and the person that we are talking about I would be very surprised if anyone that used this site didn't know who he was talking about.

That said Jonny there is still nothing to stop you taking part in the comp mate. He would be VERY dissapointed if you stayed away on his behalf, and that is straight from his mouth.

If you fancy fishing it I will pick you up and drop you back at home (as much as it is out of my way). You will have to be ready early and be prepared to be back home late but you are more than welcome mate.

All you have to do is let me know.

        Jim.

He is the Director of NESA and surely i can not be the only bloke who is wondering why we havent seen a post from the big fella

No Bri, you are certainly not the only one wondering where he has gone mate. He left NESA a few weeks ago now, I knew it was coming, well I knew he was going to step down from the admin post as he had asked me if I fancied taking it over for him. I didn't quite think he would leave all together and I must admit it came as quite a shock when I got an Email from him saying he had deleted his account.

I am sure he will still have the odd look in to see what is happening on here and will be chuffed to read your post mate. Towards the end he was not enjoying his time on NESA any more and felt a little more than upset and let down by a few people that use this site. I know he made a couple of posts towards the end that he deeply regrets but hey, who hasn't made mistakes in what they have said on here before.

As I said Bri I have recieved quite a few Emails and PMs from members who have asked why he has left and now is as good a time as any to answer your question mate.

Tony Cutter put his whole life into running this site and as you say the hours that he spent on here were amazing. He was the main reason that I joined NESA and through the time I spent on here we became and still are VERY good friends. Even though his job was taking more and more of his time I would still find him on here when I got in from work and still thinking of ways to improve the site.

Contrary to what a small minority might think Tony will be missed by just about everyone that got to know him in his years on NESA and I personally will miss his not being around any more for quite a while to come.

"And i wont be editing this in the morning - cos after reading again ,looks ok to me !!"

I am pleased you didn't edit this Bri as this post is a long time overdue. When Tony left he said he didn't want to make a big fuss, just slip away unnoticed.

Well Tony you managed to slip away allright mate but unnoticed nah, as I told you at the time that was never going to happen. Take care mate, will catch up with you soon for a session I hope.

                  Jim.

If any of you new members are looking at this and thinking you don't know anyone and you are not sure if you should fish it or not then get your names down and come along as it is a great way of putting faces to names and making new friends , along with making a few quid for a very good cause.

It is also a great way to find out new marks, if you are unsure where to fish there will be plenty of lads there that will give you some tips on that too.

                          Jim.

Yes mate I know about that one. Can't really see it making much difference to either comp though as the people from each site will be more likely to fish their own comp.

Still a pity they are on the same night though but the Nesa comp is always on in November and unfortunately we both obviously picked the best tide.

                              Jim.

                                Any places left?

                                Hi,

Wondered if there are any spots left? Fished with Andy sc of the "south side" last year..... never did find out the result! who won? I'm guessing the north ;o)... I'd fish for the North by the way!
cold, wet, shivering, worth it? .....wey aye!
