Can anyone shed a bit of light on the Bondi Carrs at Hadston.

I\'ve been up a few times now but have yet to have any succcess whatsoever.

Normally fish on the bigger of the two casting towards the gap in the little carr, if nowt there I go down towards then end and cast into the mouth of the gulley.

I have also fished the next skeer north once casting easterly out to sea... again with no results

Does this place fish best when there\'s a sea on or after and it\'s started to flatten off.

    Any info appreciated.
As my dad used to say....Man who go to bed with itchy bum......wake up with stinky finger!!!

bondi car is best fished on a big north/neast sea, while silver carrs(north of bondi) is best fished on a big southeastly(BE VERY CAREFUL GETTING ON AND OFF SILVER CARRS) some very good bags to be had though.

You chuck to the gap in little bondi as soon as you can get on,but it does empty out quickly here on a decent tide.Work your way up the skeer chucking towards the mouth of the gully.Around an hour either side of low water there is a small island at the end cut off by a shallow gully about 10 yards wide,if you get onto this and give it a decent chuck the water is alot deeper and the fish are usually bigger.Again, fish it on a big or dying N/NEast sea and you should get a couple out!

        Ian,

Don\'t know if it\'s any good to you , but I marked it out for a go on the boat as there is a very sharp drop off on the depth contours at the end of the skeers . Look at the admiralty chart or I\'ll show you mine when I\'m up .

          Thanks for the info.

Will have a look for that small island sometime on the bigger tides, and in daylight first.

I have noticed there are few cut off points on both the big bondi and silver carrs, and am always keeping an eye on them.

Dave, next time we meet up I will take you up on the offer.

Anyone not knowing what they are doing be careful because I got to wade off there in the dark a couple of years ago and I was lucky.

Personnaly I hate the place cos I\'ve never had a decent fish out of it!!!

Aye,you have to be carefull coming off the silver carrs. If you dont know it,go during the day for a look or go with someone who knows the way on and off!Should have put this in earlier post, but when fishing big bondi make your way back down the gully as the tide starts to flood and you wont have any probs!
